Job summary

Vallourec North America is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen plant-level quality processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet customer and industry standards. This hands-on role involves collaborating across teams on the shop floor to implement fail-safe operations and data-driven countermeasures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a manufacturing quality role, experience with SPC/FMEA/8D/Six Sigma, and knowledge of ISO 9001/API Q1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or quality-related)
• CQE or equivalent certification preferred
• ISO 9001 / API Q1 knowledge preferred
• Experience with plant-level quality processes and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead 8D problem-solving to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Own plant-level 8D process to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable plant improvements.
• Collaborate with shop floor, Process Engineers, and OpEx Engineers to reduce defects.
• Analyze data to identify trends and support targeted improvements.
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with standards.
