Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality, drive corrective actions, and prevent quality escapes. You will use risk-based thinking and data to drive improvements across suppliers and internal teams.

The role leads on-site supplier audits, PPAP/FAI, APQP, and root-cause investigations while partnering with Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance to prevent recurrence and improve PPM/DPU performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 5 years supplier quality experience.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, CTQ, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and control charts a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data tools (Minitab, Power BI) and ERP/SharePoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receiving inspections program based on supplier quality and risks.
• Lead on-site supplier audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to address QC issues and prevent recurrence.
• Lead PPAP/FAI and Gage R&R in APQP activities.
• Analyze data to drive supplier improvements (PPM/DPU).
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and maintain traceability.
