Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supply-chain quality and support the Quality Assurance team. You will implement robust receiving and supplier inspection plans, and drive continuous improvement with data-driven methods.

The role requires a engineering degree with 5+ years in supplier quality, knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Gage R&R, and proficiency with Minitab and Power BI. Travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years in supplier quality.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and supplier audits is required.
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plan and SPC is a plus.
• Travel to supplier locations expected 20-25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a robust Receiving Inspection plan based on supplier quality performance.
• Lead on-site supplier audits and evaluate processes to ISO 9001 compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements with Purchasing.
• Investigate quality issues with suppliers and drive corrective actions.
• Support PPAP/FAI and Gage R&R activities to ensure product quality.
