Job summary

Oakwood Group, a family-owned manufacturing company in Taylor, MI, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality, support new program launches, lead corrective actions, and improve supplier performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field and 3–5 years in supplier quality or similar. Travel up to 40% may be required. In-office, Monday–Friday, with competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• 3-5 years of supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or process engineering experience.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, SPC, and structured problem-solving methods.
• Experience auditing to IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier corrective actions and root cause investigations.
• Support PPAP activities, launches, and engineering changes.
• Conduct supplier audits and process reviews.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve results.
