Job summary

The Oakwood Group in Taylor, MI is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality, support new program launches, lead corrective actions and strengthen supplier performance.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Production and Engineering, conduct supplier audits, and monitor quality metrics to deliver measurable improvements in quality and customer satisfaction. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or process engineering experience.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, SPC and structured problem-solving methods.
• Experience auditing to IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to travel up to 40%.

• Lead supplier corrective actions and root cause investigations.
• Support PPAP activities, launches, and engineering changes.
• Conduct supplier audits and process reviews.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and drive improvement initiatives.
