Job summary

Hyve Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to manage all aspects of the quality control production process with emphasis on suppliers, audits, and ISO compliance.

You will lead corrective actions, perform root cause analyses, and drive improvements across internal teams and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering plus 3 years in manufacturing and supplier quality control with leadership experience.
• Experience with supplier drawings and/or mechanical drawing tools.
• Understanding of server level component design and system integration processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic quality tools (SPC)

Responsibilities

• Review and approve corrective and preventive action plans with suppliers and production teams.
• Perform failure analyses and root cause investigations with action follow-up.
• Coordinate regular calls with customers or vendors and provide reports as needed.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Program Managers, and Procurement to meet quality standards.
• Develop proactive quality strategies and drive continual improvement across the organization.
• Disposition supplier non-conforming material and create action plans.
• Prepare data for monthly and quarterly quality reviews and track top issues.
• Travel to manufacturing and warehouse locations as needed for business.

Hyve Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment with responsibilities that include managing all aspects of the quality control production process with special emphasis on suppliers, fall-out, supplier audits; ensuring that division and departmental practices comply with company requirements; achieve stated objectives and meet current ISO standards.

Job Description

• Review and approve Product and Processes Corrective and Prevention Action Plans.

• Perform failure analyses, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up with suppliers and production teams.

• Conduct regular conference calls with customers or vendors and provide reports as needed.

• Work with internal Production, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Program Managers and Procurement to meet quality standards.

• Develop proactive solutions and implement Quality department strategies across the organization.

• Review and disposition supplier non-conforming material, perform analysis and create action plans to push continual improvement.

• Prepare Line Reject Rate data for monthly and quarterly reviews. Include action tracker for top issues.

• Perform additional assessment and analysis as assigned.

• Qualifications

• BS degree in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline plus 3 years of experience including a combination of 2+ years in manufacturing, 3+ years in supplier quality control and 3+ years in a leadership position or equivalent combination of experience.

• Proven understanding of supplier mechanical drawing and/or tools

• Should have a good understanding of server level component design and operation, as well as computer system level integration processes and interoperability.

• Working knowledge of MS Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Hands on experience with quality system training including understanding of SPC (Statistics Process Control) principles and tools.

• Established ability prioritizing and managing multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high volume, and diverse environment across functions to produce expected results.

• Able to work as business needs require which may include long days, occasional evenings and weekends, and travel to all manufacturing and warehouse locations, for business meetings or training.
