Job summary

Venteon is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Detroit, MI team. You will drive APQP/PPAP for new programs, monitor supplier performance against quality metrics, and lead root-cause analysis with corrective actions to Read Across.

You will assess supplier sites and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate holds a engineering degree and relevant quality certifications, with experience in ISO/IATF standards, VDA 6.3, and AIAG training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of global quality standards, policies and systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Interpretation and application of ISO-9001 & IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3.
• IATF16949 2nd/3rd party auditor certification.
• VDA 6.3 certified auditor is desired.
• Six Sigma Black Belt is desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure APQP/PPAP are timely completed for new programs launch.
• Monitor supplier performance and meet quality metrics.
• Assist suppliers with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier manufacturing site assessments.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Verify supplier Capacity Analysis Reports and resolve constraints.
• Implement supplier crisis management as needed.
• Develop continuous improvement plans with suppliers for cost reduction.
• Monitor supplier complaints and report root cause actions.
• Maintain IATF16949 2nd party auditor certification via AIAG training.
• Verify PPAP on-site at suppliers and conduct capacity/run verifications.
