Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist - Contract Manufacturing

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance to ensure all quality and regulatory standards are met across our contract manufacturing network. This position may be remote but requires frequent travel (up to 50%) to collaborate with co-manufacturers and suppliers, so residing near a major airport is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems

• Maintain and improve SOPs, quality policies, and training materials
• Conduct onsite audits of suppliers and co-manufacturers, documenting risks and improvement opportunities
• Support CAPA investigations and follow-up actions
• Maintain accurate product specifications and documentation
• Manage supplier quality scorecards and analyze performance data

Quality Control

• Review production and quality records to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
• Coordinate inspections of raw materials and finished goods

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in internal QMS audits and drive corrective actions
• Analyze KPIs to support QA process improvements
• Stay updated on FDA and industry regulations, supporting regulatory interactions

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and industry trends
• Support interactions with government agencies, including the FDA

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in biology, food science, or related field
• 3+ years of QA or regulatory compliance experience, preferably in beverages or CPG
• Experience managing co-manufacturing or supplier relationships
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA software tools
• Willingness to travel up to 50%; residing near a major airport preferred
• Knowledge of FDA regulations and food safety systems is a plus
