MITY Inc. in Orem, UT, is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality improvements with domestic and international suppliers.

The role focuses on ensuring incoming materials, components, and finished goods meet standards and preventing defects, while building proactive supplier partnerships. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in supplier quality assurance in manufacturing, a relevant engineering degree, expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions, and

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in supplier quality assurance, quality management, or supplier development within a manufacturing environment.
• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action processes, supplier audits, and quality improvement methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Experience analyzing quality data, managing supplier performance, and implementing sustainable process improvements is important.
• Experience with internationally sourced finished goods, factory inspections, and overseas supplier relationships is required.
• Familiarity with wood, metal, textiles, furniture manufacturing, or related materials is a plus.
• ASQ certifications and experience with PPAP or formal supplier approval processes are also preferred.
• Must be comfortable working directly with suppliers, communicating across departments, and influencing improvements without direct authority.
• Domestic and international travel, including Asia, is required, typically several trips per year.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain supplier scorecards, quality metrics, inspection standards, and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Logistics to resolve quality concerns and support supplier development.
• Support new supplier qualification, material approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with quality management practices and identify opportunities to strengthen MITY's supplier quality program.

About the Role

What We’re Looking For
