MITY Inc. in Orem, Utah is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality improvements with domestic and international suppliers.

You will focus on incoming materials, components, and finished goods, driving proactive solutions and preventing defects. The role requires hands-on process improvement, supplier audits, root cause analyses, and collaboration across Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective actions knowledge (8D, 5-Why).
• Experience with supplier audits and quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Experience with internationally sourced components and factory inspections.
• ASQ certifications and PPAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve supplier quality assurance processes for domestic and international suppliers.
• Monitor incoming material and finished goods quality, identify defects and trends.
• Investigate issues with suppliers, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits, factory visits, and quality assessments.
• Oversee pre-shipment inspections and factory quality controls for international finished goods.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Logistics to resolve quality concerns.
• Support new supplier qualification and continuous improvement initiatives.

A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action processes, supplier audits, and quality improvement methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Lean, or Six Sigma. Experience analyzing quality data, managing supplier performance, and implementing sustainable process improvements is important.Experience with internationally sourced finished goods, factory inspections, and overseas supplier relationships is required. Familiarity with wood, metal, textiles, furniture manufacturing, or related materials is a plus. ASQ certifications and experience with PPAP or formal supplier approval processes are also preferred.Must be comfortable working directly with suppliers, communicating across departments, and influencing improvements without direct authority.
