Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Supplier Performance Manager to onboard and develop new suppliers, advancing them from qualification to production readiness. You will set performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and address gaps early in the supplier lifecycle.

Work with Quality, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering to ensure supplier capabilities, drive continuous improvement, and mitigate risks across regions to support sustained manufacturing success.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience in supplier management or related field
• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in supplier management or related field
• APICS certifications (CPIM/CSCP) preferred
• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred
• Experience managing supplier scorecards and performance metrics
• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments

Responsibilities

• Onboard and develop new suppliers from qualification to production readiness
• Establish performance expectations and monitor supplier scorecards
• Identify and address performance gaps early in the supplier lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Procurement, Operations, Engineering) to ensure supplier capabilities
• Lead supplier development, continuous improvement, and data-driven risk mitigation
• Drive corrective actions to support smooth production transition
• Manage supplier relationships across regions to strengthen capabilities
