Oura is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer (Brittles) based in the San Francisco Bay Area for end-to-end manufacturing and process solutions across our hardware products.

The role involves collaborating with designers and engineers to optimize brittle-material components, drive supplier qualification globally, and lead design-for-manufacturing reviews during development and ramp stages. Hybrid work with in-office presence 2+ days weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience with brittle-material manufacturing processes such as CIM, sintering, grinding and coating.
• Hands-on testing for strength and reliability of ceramic/glass components.

Responsibilities

• Define best-in-class processes for ceramic, sapphire crystal, glass, and other brittle components that meet all design and operational requirements.
• Lead DFMs and acceptance criteria for brittle materials entering development and production ramps.
• Develop and document process parameters, consumables, and secondary operations.
