Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at Ben Taub Hospital with a schedule of every other Sunday only.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist pharmacists with preparing and distributing prescribed medications and other healthcare products while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, patient safety, and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern.
• IV Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for dispensing and unit-dose packaging.
• Count tablets and reconstitute medications; prepare oral syringes.
• Repackaging and compounding sterile preparations as needed.
• Maintain inventory and replenish automated dispensing cabinets.
• Deliver medications to patient care units and assist with clerical duties (phone, stocking, data entry).
• Ensure accuracy and safety in all medication preparation and distribution tasks.
