Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Registered Pharmacy Technician to support operations at Ben Taub Hospital, with a schedule that includes every other Saturday.

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with preparing and distributing prescribed medications, maintaining accuracy and patient safety, and performing clerical tasks such as data entry and stocking to keep the unit running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED.
• Licensure: Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration as Pharmacy Technician OR Pharmacist Intern license.
• IV Certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for dispensing.
• Count tablets and capsules.
• Reconstitute medications and prepare oral syringes.
• Compound sterile preparations.
• Maintain inventory and replenish cabinets.
• Deliver medications to patient care units.
• Data entry, phones, stocking, cash handling.
