Job summary

Harris Health System is seeking a Supplemental Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations at Ben Taub Hospital, with an every-other-Saturday schedule. Under a licensed pharmacist's supervision, you will help prepare and distribute prescribed medications while upholding patient safety and accuracy standards.

Responsibilities include medication preparation, counting capsules, reconstituting drugs, preparing oral syringes, and assisting with inventory and automated cabinet

Qualifications

• Experience with preparing and distributing medications under supervision.
• General math skills for dosage calculations and inventory tasks.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy terminology.
• Proficiency with computer systems and data entry for pharmacy records.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for dispensing and count tablets and capsules.
• Reconstitute medications and prepare oral syringes.
• Assist with sterile compounding and maintaining inventory.
• Deliver medications to patient care units and replenish dispensing cabinets.
• Handle clerical duties: phones, stocking, cash handling, filing and data entry.
