Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University invites applications for an Academic Support Aide in the ARMAS Center on the Las Vegas, NM campus. The SILs will conduct SI sessions, attend lecture sections, and report on lessons and attendance while coordinating with the course professor and SIL Coordinator weekly.

The position requires a enrolled NMHU student with at least one year of college completed, a 3.0+ GPA, and the ability to commit 20 hours per week plus ongoing training and orientation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled NMHU student with 1 year or more of college completed.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must have received a B or better in the course applying for, preferably at NMHU.

Responsibilities

• Conducting SI sessions for assigned class (3 sessions / week).
• Providing reports detailing lesson planning, student attendance, and other data.
• Attending lecture section of course and meeting with the course professor weekly.
