Dearborn Group in Downers Grove, IL seeks a claims analyst to analyze, process, and recommend approval or denial of Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness/Specified Disease, and related claims. Under supervision, you will review documentation, apply medical terminology, and maintain high accuracy while delivering customer service.

Flex employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days a week.

Job Summary

Under supervision this position is responsible for analyzing, processing, and recommending approval or denial of Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness/Specified Disease, Accident Insurance, Life product claims and weekly income claims on various policies with a variety of related duties.

Required Job Qualifications:

• High School degree and 2 years of equivalent business/related work experience.
• Good decision-making, problem solving and research skills with ability to analyze complex information.
• PC proficiency to include MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to maintain high level of quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• HIAA, LOMA or ICA courses a plus.
• Aptitude for math and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of state regulations, statutes, and ERISA.
• Knowledge in any of the following core systems: ECM, STAR (Claim System), Genelco/GIAS, Salesforce, UTS, Benefits Manager.
• Knowledge in one (1) of the following claim types: Critical Illness/Specified Disease/Specified Disease, Accidental Insurance, Hospital Indemnity or Short-Term Disability.
• Ability to fluently speak and write Spanish a plus.

Base Pay Range

$19.13 - $34.17
