Base pay range
$137,222.00/yr - $178,388.00/yr
Duties
- Serves as the Chief of the Supplier Operations Division within a Supplier Operations Directorate.
- Provides a range of acquisition and logistics support.
- Ensures that the DoD, DLA, DLA Troop Support, as well as inter-directorate division's policies, procedures, plans, and programs are accurately implemented.
- Administers responsibilities for pre and post award contracting for all items assigned to the division.
- Manages Small Business Economic Utilization, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Prime Vendor, Tailored Logistics Support, as well as other programs as warranted.
- May serve as a Contracting Officer for amounts above the warrant limitations of other staff.

- You will be a Mission Essential employee. This requires you to work during an emergency to ensure continuation of essential functions. You may be required to work at the designated duty location, a telework site, or an alternate location/facility.
Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Supplier Operations Division Chief your resume and supporting documentation must support
ALL requirements below:
- Basic Contracting Requirement: A.) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR B.) A current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of A. AND B. above.
AND
- Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) Requirement: Must possess 4 years of acquisition experience; Incumbent must remain in position for a minimum of three years and must sign a written tenure agreement (DD Form2888).
AND Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Managing people and projects while fostering excellent customer service.
- Working to resolve complex procurement issues.
- Recommending best practices for process improvement for assigned programs.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Additional information
Defense Acquisition Workforce: Position is a DoD Critical Acquisition Position & requires DoD Acquisition Contracting (C/CON), Professional certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years and sign a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. Click
