Division Chief of Penn’s Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Candidates must have an M.D. degree; D.O. degrees are also accepted. Additional qualifications such as a Masters or PhD are welcome.

Responsibilities include overseeing sports medicine education for students, residents, and fellows, promoting scholarly activity in primary care sports medicine, and managing clinical and community engagement work. The role involves providing direct patient care, serving as a team physician, and leading strategic growth initiatives in sports medicine.

The Chief will be a visionary leader with a regional or national reputation in Sports Medicine, with significant administrative leadership experience. The role involves collaboration with departments such as Orthopaedic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to develop growth strategies, mentor faculty, and expand Penn Medicine’s sports medicine footprint at all levels, from high schools to professional teams.
