Job description

Duties
  • You will provide oversight for critical Enlisted assignment and placement functions, fleet manning, and monitoring Transients, Patients, Prisoners and Holdees (TPPandH) personnel .
  • You will serve a functional lead for the MyNavy Assignment (MNA), developing and prioritizing requirements to improve Sailor "Fit" and fleet readiness.
  • You will represent the branch (PERS-40) in senior-level meetings and conferences, communicating policies and making decisions that significantly affect the operational readiness of the fleet.
  • You will perform a full range of supervisory duties. Exercises delegated authority to manage the overall planning, direction, and execution of the branch and association functions and programs.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide strategic and tactical guidance to 15 subordinate supervisors and leads, overseeing civilian and military personnel; 2. Plan work, issue assignments, set priorities, and prepares schedules to ensure the efficient completion of all branch functional requirements; 3. Evaluate employee performance, develop performance standards, handle appraisals for civilian staff, and manage fitness reports for military personnel; 4. Technical advisor and functional lead on all matters related to enlisted personnel readiness, distribution, and support; 5. Analyze complex personnel information to provide strategic direction, improve readiness, and support flag-level leadership decisions.
