Naval Education and Training Command is seeking a financial management specialist to advise on DoD regulations and related directives, explain ERP and FIAR controls, and support budget-related programs.
The role involves responding to audits, evaluating DPAS implementation, and identifying issues across financial systems to ensure accountability and compliance. Strong knowledge of DoD processes and property accountability is required.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing or advising on work in any of the phases of inventory of plant and minor property. 2) Managing and tracking an inventory of value and pilferable items utilizing an automated inventory tracking program and a bar code system. 3) Preparing guidance prescribing local practices and procedures necessary to remove property from government records and hold individuals financially accountable. 4) Scheduling and coordinating required inventories.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Procuring goods/services on behalf of the command and maintaining all procurement files and documentation for current and prior fiscal years; 2) Maintaining and updating all relative publications and standard operating procedure. 3) Assisting with recurring training of Directorate Purchase Request personnel/administrators. 4) Maintaining an inventory tracking program and providing advice/guidance/training to directorates in regard to the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
