Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Buffalo Field Office, Mission Support Division, located in Buffalo, NY. This position starts at a salary of $111,301.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $144,694.00 (GS-13, Step 10). In this Supervisory Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.


Typical work assignments include: Providing complex administrative services, including, but not limited to, management and information systems, budget, finance, procurement, personnel, telecommunications, logistics, records and files, printing, mail, travel, and office equipment. Serving as a supervisor to a group of administrative employees.


Developing and prescribing procedures and techniques, while assigning and explaining work requirements to subordinate staff to achieve efficiency of services rendered while increasing productivity. Establishing production standards and performance requirements, and advising employees of those requirements and keeping them informed of their progress.
