Job summary

Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command is seeking a first level supervisor to oversee the AFRC Manpower Requirements Section, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory staff.

You will supervise personnel management, build relationships with Air Force, OMB, DOD and other command representatives, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while meeting customer needs. This position is telework eligible and requires a Secret clearance.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to AFRC Manpower Requirements Section.

Key Responsibilities

DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of HQ AFRC/AIMRF, ensuring that HQ AFRC/AIMR complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3: Represents HQ AFRC/AIMR with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with Air Force, OMB, DOD and other command representatives.

DUTY 4: Attends meetings, conferences, and briefings related to program planning, policy changes, controversial issues, assumption of mission and site activation (Site Activation Task Force or SATAF), and proposed legislation.
