About the Position

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. As Chief of the Architect & Engineering (AE) Services Section, you will direct actions to resolve major Engineering and Architectural uncertainties, integrating technological developments and regulatory requirements for successful program and project outcomes.

Specialized Experience for GS-13

One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience applying professional engineering and contracting technical expertise to the coordination of engineering responsibilities in the solicitation preparation, selection evaluation, negotiation, and award of Architect-Engineer specific service contracts to ensure accuracy of designs and obligations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas In addition to meeting the qualification requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet one of the formal education requirements listed below.
