Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command seeks a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Classification) to lead the Position Management and Classification program across USTRANSCOM and its components. The role focuses on managing complex classification needs and providing expert advisory services to leadership.

You will oversee reviews of organizations, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff, and advise senior officials on position management implications. Telework is eligible.

Serve as the Headquarters USTRANSCOM Position Management and Classification Program Manager and Chief, Classification Branch providing expert position management and position classification program advisory services throughout USTRANSCOM and its subordinate command and elements.
Establish reviews, analyze, and evaluate multifaceted organizations, functional, and operational requirements; collaborate with management officials to resolve complex issues.
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of Position Management and Classification for a Functional Combatant Command, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Research and evaluate new or proposed regulations, policies, and/or laws to provide technical guidance to senior leadership on impacts to USTRANSCOM.

SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION)

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.

Key Responsibilities

As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) at the GS-0201-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the Headquarters USTRANSCOM Position Management and Classification Program Manager and Chief, Classification Branch providing expert position management and position classification program advisory services throughout USTRANSCOM and its subordinate command and elements.

Establish reviews, analyze, and evaluate multifaceted organizations, functional, and operational requirements; and collaborates with responsible management officials within and outside of the command to resolve complex and/or controversial position management and classification issues and problems.

Plan, organize, and direct the activities of Position Management and Classification for a Functional Combatant Command (USTRANSCOM), ensuring that position management and classification of complex and non-complex position descriptions complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Research and evaluate new or proposed regulations, policies, and/or laws to provide technical guidance and advisory services to General Officer (equivalent) management officials and other senior leadership on impacts to USTRANSCOM and subordinate Command organizations.
