About the Position:

This position is located within the Director of Surgery at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Incumbent will manage the delivery of healthcare improvement processes for the Office of the DSS.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating healthcare processes, systems, clinics, programs, or policies to improve the access, quality, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare delivery; utilizing financial systems, such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), to assist in the plan and/or execution of a budget; collaborating with medical treatment facility leaders on work-related changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health care delivery processes; providing supervision, leadership, oversight, or direction to employees and their work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
