The Supervisory Biomedical Engineer (BME) (Clinical) is the Service Chief of the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Service, responsible for the professional and administrative management of the service. The Supervisory BME supervises technical staff including engineers and biomedical equipment support specialists.
The Supervisory Biomedical Engineer (Clinical) - Chief, Clinical Engineering supports and advances patient care by applying engineering and managerial skills to healthcare technology, as demonstrated by the following major responsibilities:

Supervisory Biomedical Engineer (Clinical) GS-14
Preferred Experience: Five or more years in the field with supervisory experience.

The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-14.
The position is mostly sedentary but occasionally involves physically demanding tasks such as walking, climbing ladders, reaching, and lifting objects between 10 and 40 pounds.
