Job Overview

This position is with Johnson & Johnson, in partnership with WayUp. The role is fully remote within the US, involving clinical support, device training, and trial site management for Shockwave Medical's innovative cardiovascular treatments. The Sr. Field Clinical Engineer will develop site recruitment strategies, support clinical procedures, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide training and procedural support to physicians and hospital staff.
  • Support clinical study training, including study protocols and manuals.
  • Assist investigators and clinical leaders at trial sites.
  • Coordinate with research teams on study start-up, data collection, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain relationships with site investigators and physician advisors.
  • Develop recruitment materials and strategies to meet enrollment goals.
  • Travel up to 80% across US and Canada, with potential international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience supporting interventional or surgical procedures.
  • Experience with device clinical studies, including IDE trials.
  • Knowledge of GCP standards.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and travel extensively.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $89,000 - $143,750 (US); higher in Bay Area. Includes performance bonuses, health benefits, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks. More details at Johnson & Johnson Benefits.
