Resnick & Louis, P.C. - Attorneys at Law seeks a Quality Control/Compliance Specialist to help deliver high-quality work products and ensure lawyers meet all deadlines. California-licensed attorneys with 10+ years in QC/insurance defense are preferred, with at least 5 years practicing in California.

Will mentor attorneys and assist with litigation strategy. Remote work is available after training and when performance expectations are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of quality control and insurance defense experience (10+ years preferred).
• At least 5 years of California practice experience required.
• Strong understanding of billing deadlines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform rolling review of case files for reporting frequency and depth.
• Review timekeeper billable time to ensure billing deadlines are met.
• Assess the docketing system to facilitate trial roundtables.
• Coordinate with ownership on action plans to address issues.
• Support internal quality control projects as needed.

Job description

Mid-size national law firm seeking Quality Control/Compliance Specialist to assist the law firm in continuing to deliver consistent, high-quality work product and assist lawyers in ensuring they are ahead of all deadlines. This is an excellent position for an experienced California licensed attorney who wants to take a step back from active litigation but continues to mentor other attorneys and assist with litigation strategy. This position will entail working directly with the firm’s owners and managers. Remote work is available to this position once training is completed and job performance expectations are being met.

Responsibilities include:

• Rolling review of case files to determine frequency and depth of reporting efforts by handling lawyers.
• Reviewing timekeeper (i.e. attorney and paralegal) billable time entry to ensure compliance with billing deadlines and requirements.
• Review and assessment of the firm’s docketing system to facilitate roundtables on upcoming trials.
• Review of insurance carrier litigation and reporting guidelines to assist in attorney and paralegal compliance with same.
• Coordination with firm ownership and management on the items above in order to develop plan of action for items which need to be addressed.
• Other internal quality control projects as needed.

Qualifications and Compensation:

Minimum 10 years of quality control and insurance defense experience, with at least 5 years in California. Salaries and total compensation packages discussed during interviews.
