Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Work Management Supervisor to lead and optimize a geographically distributed team within Delivery Operations. You will drive standardization, manage workload, and deploy new technology to improve efficiency while maintaining strong safety practices.

The role requires a high school diploma with 5+ years of related experience; associates or technical degree is preferred. Onsite position with significant travel responsibilities and relocation considerations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; five years of related experience.
• Associates or technical degree preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership, safety focus, and ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct Work Management employees dispersed across Delivery Operations.
• Develop efficiency gains through standardization and resource sharing.
• Oversee workload, cross-training, and adoption of new technology.
• Create and implement work management plans to maximize engagement and achieve business goals.
• Review and approve invoices generated by Work Management staff.

The Work Management Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and direction of Work Management employees dispersed geographically throughout Delivery Operations. This leadership role is expected to develop efficiency gains through process standardization and consistency, oversight of workload, cross training, sharing resources as well as implementing new technology. This position will create and implement work management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement while achieving business goals. This position is responsible for maintaining net terms of contractor invoices, as well as ensuring accurate review and approval of invoices performed by Work Management employees.

Basic/Required Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED and five (5) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical degree.

Working Conditions

• Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility. On-site employees are also required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location, not greater than 50 miles one way.
• Frequent and prolonged periods of time on the phone and in meetings.
