Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Supervisor- Warehouse is responsible for overseeing daily operations within Astemo’s Distribution Center. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient flow, storage, and shipment of service and aftermarket parts. The individual will lead a team of warehouse associates to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and timely order fulfillment. They will coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of Astemo’s products, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years related work experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
  • Ability to analyze data

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • 2- or 4-year College Degree in Organizational Leadership
  • Experience in Service and Aftermarket
  • Documented Supervisory experience
  • Forklift experience

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all areas of warehouse duties including assisting Manager with facilities responsibilities, shipping/receiving areas along with Service. Guide and implement improvement activities and cost saving ideas and methods: 50%
  • Lead and Coordinate service/aftermarket risk management areas: inventory accuracy, department training for service-aftermarket, FIFO, scrap and build out procedures: 20%
  • Support and help lead warehouse activity in all areas of warehouse including, physical inventory initiatives, cycle count program and other inventory control process and procedures. Maintain and help developing SOP & associate training: 10%
  • Oversee department system and policy and procedures are being followed (End of month, Min-Max inventory, supplier and customer releasing, scrap reporting, J-SOX): 10%
  • Other duties as assigned: 5%

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to promote and carry out the “Astemo Philosophy” and “5 Joys”.
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
  • Confers with and prepares reports fur upper management and other Keihin companies
  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ensures all local, state and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area
  • Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support/ training as needed.
  • Provides strong leadership to subordinate personnel
  • Interacts with various levels of associates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Will supervise associates

Safety and Environmental Management:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

Software:

  • Intermediate experience required in Windows, Word, and Exel
  • Intermediate experience with PowerPoint preferred
  • Intermediate experience with Glovia preferred

Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

  • Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting, standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the work day
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, 35 pounds occasionally, push pull up to 50 pounds
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
  • Full Motor Skills
  • Service knowledge along with shipping and receiving.

Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.

  • Requires 5% travel
  • Factory Setting with Noise
