Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a seasoned Training Program Manager to plan, develop, and deliver comprehensive learning solutions spanning classroom, e-learning, and on-the-job training across business units.

You will mentor teams, lead cross-departmental projects, assess needs, and measure program effectiveness while aligning with Bank Secrecy Act policies and organizational goals. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must adhere to Navy Federal policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act

Job description

  • Plan, develop, and provide training and development programs for business units using classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, e-learning, workshops, and job aids
  • Supervise needs assessments, evaluate instructor performance and training-program effectiveness, and recommend improvements to management
  • Develop innovative training communications, techniques, technologies, programs, concepts, strategies, and learning solutions
  • Work with internal communications partners to improve employee communications
  • Oversee programs and systems that deliver learning solutions to employees
  • Lead cross-departmental project teams and implement training products, services, and change-management solutions
  • Support development of instructional courses tailored to desired learning outcomes
  • Conduct and coordinate technical training and personal-development classes for direct reports and executive leadership
  • Identify and resolve operational and performance gaps; recommend and implement changes and improvements
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to team members, department leadership, and business partners
  • Research and analyze trends supporting projects and computer-based training initiatives to improve existing programs
  • Partner with business units and vendors to improve procedures, resolve problems, and implement initiatives
  • Monitor projects and ensure goals and objectives are completed on schedule and within customer expectations, timelines, and budget constraints
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the team; provide resources, support, feedback, and solutions
  • Act as Assistant Manager/Manager in the incumbent's absence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of principles and processes for measuring and evaluating program and individual effectiveness and developing alternative corrective actions
  • Working knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources
  • Significant experience in designing and executing multifaceted training campaigns
  • Significant experience managing presentation and publication production projects
  • Significant experience in online publishing and project tracking tools and programs
  • Experience implementing strategic initiatives at the tactical level
  • Experience supervising and/or leading professional employees
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of courses, learning products and delivery methods
  • Experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems
  • Experience leading large projects/initiatives and managing multiple priorities simultaneously with business risk and impact
  • Significant experience in time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development
  • Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
  • Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
