Summary:

The Sleep Center Supervisor is responsible for the operational oversight of the Mid Coast Hospital Center for Sleep Medicine. This includes ensuring adequate staff and supplies, timely scoring of studies, coordination of care with durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers, sleep patient management, and performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required by Mid Coast Medical Group Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The Sleep Center technicians report directly to this position and then to the manager/director of the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine department.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  1. Education: N/A.
  2. License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) with appropriate Maine state license. Registered Polysomnographer (RPSGT).
  3. Experience: Two to five (2-5) years' experience in an accredited center as RT or RPSGT.
  4. Working knowledge of Sleep Lab Systems, with a preference for Compumedics.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to handle confidential patient and organizational information appropriately.
  7. Strong technology and computer literacy skills, including experience with electronic medical records and other systems.
  8. Ability to assist clinicians with technology issues related to sleep systems.
