Job summary

St. Joseph Health in Texas is seeking a Supervisor of the Sleep Center to provide expert leadership and oversight for high-quality sleep diagnostics and treatments.

You will manage daily operations, mentor a team of sleep technologists, optimize scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety. You will lead front-office operations for patient flow and billing processes, supervise staffing to meet demand, and drive continuous improvement in care quality and outcomes for Brazos

Qualifications

• Polysomnography program completion required.
• Registered Sleep Technologist credentials required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises clinical and office staff, ensuring staffing levels meet patient and lab needs and productivity standards.
• Leads recruitment, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluation; ensures licensure remains current.
• Oversees front-office operations for scheduling, insurance verification, registration, authorization and patient flow; ensures coding & billing compliance.
• Manages labor distribution, supply expenditures and patient satisfaction data; controls costs and inventories; completes daily tasks efficiently.
• Collects and analyzes data to improve service quality; supports performance improvement studies and continuous improvement culture.
• Performs polysomnographic processes end-to-end; ensures studies are read and reported timely; communicates results to referral sources and follows up with patients.

As a Supervisor of the Sleep Center, you will provide expert leadership and strategic oversight, ensuring the delivery of high-quality sleep diagnostic and treatment services to our patients.
Every day you will expertly manage daily operations, lead and mentor a team of sleep technologists and clinical staff, optimize patient scheduling and workflow, and meticulously maintain regulatory compliance and quality standards within the center.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding clinical knowledge in sleep medicine, strong leadership skills, and a proactive, patient-focused demeanor, contributing significantly to accurate diagnoses and improved patient sleep health.

• Supervises the clinical staff and office staff in a respectful, courteous and consistent manner. Responsible for daily assignments, monthly schedules, and vacation scheduling to provide appropriate staff levels for the sleep lab while achieving productivity standards. Ensures staffing levels meet patient, departmental, and health system needs.
• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, scheduling, counseling, providing feedback on performance issues including disciplinary action, and performance evaluation. Oversees clinical development of sleep lab staff to include orientation, competency assessment, ongoing education and training. Ensures 100% of licensed staff maintain licensure.
• In concert with the Patient Access leadership team, supervises the operations of the front office to ensure efficient and timely scheduling, insurance verification, registration, authorization, and patient flow. Ensures delivery of exceptional customer service. Works with the Director to ensure proper coding, billing, and health information management processes are appropriate and compliant.
• Responsible for managing labor distribution productivity, supply expenditures, and patient satisfaction data. Assists in cost control through efficient use of supplies to maximize allocated resources. Practices inventory control and orders all supplies, equipment, and materials. Independently completes daily standard work in a thorough, organized, efficient and timely manner.
• Collects, analyzes and uses data in order to improve the quality of services provided. Models and reinforces a continuous improvement culture (e.g., understands and promotes national quality indicators). Assists in development and coordination of performance improvement studies.
• Performs all processes associated with obtaining and reporting polysomnographic studies in a timely and thorough manner; ensures polysomnographic studies are read, interpreted, and resulted within acceptable time frames; provides polysomnographic study results to referral sources and facilitates patient follow-up.

Job Requirements

• Associates Other Polysomnography or other related field and 1-3 years 2 years of clinical experience, upon hire or
• Successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility. and 1-3 years 2 years of clinical experience, upon hire
• Registered Sleep Technologist, upon hire or
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

Pay Range

$30.10 - $44.77 /hour
