Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance of facility during shifts and supervise trade personnel.
  • Coordinate with department managers to maintain service levels for guests.
  • Conduct daily tours, identify deficiencies, and ensure timely follow‑up.
  • Assist in budgeting, policies, and service contracts for engineering/maintenance.
  • Maintain shift logs and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Starting Rate $65,000.000 - $70,000.000

Responsibilities

Submits input from co‑workers and department users on labor saving, safety and dollar savings innovations.Assists in development of employee appraisals and identification of training and upward mobility candidates. Responsible for the maintenance and mechanical integrity of the facility during a shift. Responsible for the supervision of all trade personnel on shift. Interfaces with all department managers during shift, maintaining optimum level of service to external/internal customers. Conducts daily tours of facility to identify, correct and follow‑up on all deficiencies. Responsible for assigned projects and timely completion. Assists in budget planning and the setting of policies and procedures of engineering and maintenance. Oversees implementation of all service contracts pertaining to engineering and maintenance. Maintains daily shift log indicating, but not limited to, employee incidents, irregularities that may arise, i.e., mechanical shutdowns, emergencies and alarms. Assists in operation of the fire command station when necessary.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of overall hotel operation relating to engineering. Familiarity in all facets of construction. Must have good working knowledge of more than one technical field. Minimum one year experience as a supervisor. Journeyman or equivalent in at least one trade for a minimum of five years. Knowledge of Mechanical/Building systems in facility. Proficient computer skills. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
