Security Supervisor

Security Supervisor supervises, trains, and coordinates the activities of Security Ambassadors assigned to a shift. The Security Supervisor provides direction to Security Ambassadors in order to create a safe environment for all Hard Rock Casino guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee files and coach security employees.
• Provide superior service to guests by seeking opportunities to serve, maintaining highly visible patrols, ensuring a safe gaming experience, and ensuring quality support to other departments.
• Maintain public order, enforce safety rules, protect property and assets, and investigate disturbances in the hotel, casino and surrounding facilities.
• Serve as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, morale, motivation, and open communication.
• Act as a role model and coach employees while developing them using a consistent, approachable demeanor, and clearly articulating expectations.
• Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Hard Rock.
• Ensure each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their performance expectations.
• Direct all activities on the assigned shift.
• Monitor activity regarding OCCC regulations and company policies to ensure effective performance.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure compliance with all policies and OCCC regulations.
• Monitor incident reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor the exclusion list and enforce it where appropriate.
• Be accountable for service goals and objectives as well as customer complaints and claims.
• Counsel, guide, and instruct personnel on the proper performance of their duties.
• Cooperate with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.

• Investigate or supervise investigations of incidents involving crime, employee misconduct, and issues concerning the welfare of the casino and surrounding facilities and neighborhood.
• Review and approve documents as needed.
• Instruct, train, and monitor Ambassadors in daily duties including customer and employee relations, report writing, procedures in handling company funds, and critical incident management.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 5 years of law enforcement experience and/or casino security experience.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with the general public.
