Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is hiring a Security Supervisor to oversee event security operations, ensuring the safety of patrons, guests, and staff during live performances and special events.

You will develop security operation plans, coordinate with security managers of featured artists, and supervise a team of approximately seventy employees, while maintaining incident reporting and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee security during events and ensure patron, guest and employee safety.
  • Develop event-specific security plans including staffing and routing.
  • Coordinate security for outside venues and special events.
  • Work with artists' security to ensure accurate measures.
  • Create Security Operation Plans and schedule staff.
  • Coordinate meet & greet and artist security details.
  • Distribute credentials and passes.
  • Coordinate fire rescue and police as needed.
  • Monitor fire and CCTV systems; maintain emergency plans.
  • Recruit and train security staff; supervise ~70 employees.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the HWHR Vice President of Security, and reporting to the Security Shift Manager, coordinates/supervises all security and life safety activities at Hard Rock Live, Paradise Live and other property venues, including the planning, organizing and security of events within the facility to meet contractual obligations and quality customer service standards. Coordinates with the Hard Rock Live Operations and Production Management, as well as the Special Events Department to correlate and review the schedule of events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee all performances; ensure the safety of all patrons, guests, employees and anyone associated with and during the events.
  • Develop a security operations plan for each event ie: location of staff, route for artists
  • Coordinate security details outside Hard Rock Live ie: Special Events, pool functions, Seminole Paradise functions, boxing events, press conferences etc.
  • Coordinates with Security Managers of featured artists to provide information and guidance to the client in order to obtain accurate security measures.
  • Develop Security Operation Plans for Special Events. Schedule staff and coordinate with Special Events Management.
  • Coordinate all "meet & greet" with artists and oversee security and safety of the artist.
  • Oversee the distribution of credentials and passes.
  • Coordinates and schedules Seminole Fire Rescue and Seminole Police for events as required.
  • Monitors the fire system and CCTV system in each venue.
  • Establish & implement emergency evacuation plan and training.
  • Provide security for all vendors ie: sales of merchandise, transportation of all monies from the sales of merchandise.
  • Recruit new employees.
  • Train employees: use of radio, physical altercations, verbal altercations, disorderly conduct, guest relations, crowd control, artist escort.
  • Coordinate all scheduling for event security staff.
  • Escort all featured artists to and from the events and maintain security.
  • Review and approve payroll for event security.
  • Coordinate parking of tour buses, trucks and guests.
  • Write reports and document all incidents related to Hard Rock Live, Entertainment or Special Events.
  • Supervise approximately 70 employees.
  • Provide security for ticket booth operations ie: coordinate the orderly distribution of tickets to special events.
  • Oversee placement of all media trucks and equipment to ensure the safety of patrons, guests, employees and artists.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities within the casino/hotel security operation when necessary due to business and operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1)year of job-related Security experience required in a high volume casino/hotel complex environment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Security experience may be substituted with law enforcement experience.
  • Must have industry or job-related knowledge.
  • Must be available and willing to have a flex schedule, (various hours, days-off) based on business and department needs.
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to communicate with guests and other employees in a positive manner.

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgement in standard, non-standard situations with limited variables involved, and non-standard situations where independent judgment is required and limited guidelines exist.
  • Must apply for, obtain and remain eligible for the appropriate Seminole Tribal Gaming License.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work in a professional office environment as well as within Hard Rock Live with constant exposure to general public.
