Cox Enterprises is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead Enterprise Security personnel across the assigned geographic area, directing investigations into internal and external security issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of relevant security experience.
• Proven interviewing and interrogation skills for independent investigations.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarms, and MS Office applications.
• Excellent decision-making, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; leadership ability.
• Security clearance eligible preferred.

Cox Enterprises is hiring a Security Supervisor who will lead and direct Enterprise Security personnel responsible for performing Enterprise Security and Investigations-related functions for all Cox Enterprises business units in an assigned geographic area and ensure proper planning, organizing, and conducting difficult and complex investigations related to both internal and external security issues.

Responsibilities

• Allocates assignments and resources, ensuring team members focus on critical duties, including:
• Planning, organizing, and conducting investigations relating to both internal and external security issues (i.e., illegal facility access, theft, property damage, workplace Violence, Directed Threats).
• Linking evidence from various sources with suspects / instances.
• Develops investigative strategy, Interviews employees and vendors to further investigative efforts and establish evidence.
• Collaborating with People Solutions, Legal and other groups to ensure appropriate information sharing and process effectiveness.
• Liaising with local, state, federal and other law enforcement.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive, and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data.
• Identifies security vulnerabilities and recommends strategies for prevention and/or mitigation utilizing physical security functions (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Environmental).
• Oversees security operations to ensure a secure working environment is setup and maintained utilizing internal and external resources.
• Participates in and/or responds to business crisis, interruption or disaster planning and events.
• Presents training programs for employees, contractors, and temporary employees on security related topics.
• Ensures proper reporting of all security and investigative activity within an assigned area is accurately maintained and reported to Enterprise Security Leadership.
• Conducts continued vulnerability assessments of Cox facilities to ensure LRP, OPEX/CAPEX plans are maintained as well as regional operational and capital budget planning and invoicing.
• Manage operations and sustainability for an Enterprise Security Operation Center supporting all CEI Business units in a geographical area.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• A high school diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience (e.g., Fraud, Theft, Security, Business). Alternatively, the right candidate may qualify with a bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, a master's degree and 1 year of experience, or a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience.
• Proven self-starter, who works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
• Proficient interviewing and interrogation techniques to conduct independent, thorough investigations in the areas of theft, fraud, violent acts, vandalism, etc., to obtain information.
• Requires strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarms, and use of covert equipment, MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization and external contacts.
• This position requires leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• 1 or more years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to effectively present information to senior management, attorneys, judges, and federal, state, and local enforcement authorities.
• Corporate Security experience.
• Security Clearance eligible.
• Experience in incident management and business continuity.
• Certification or accreditation from a Risk or Security Management Association or governing body.

USD 81,400.00 - 122,000.00 per year

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $81,400.00 - $122,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
