Sanitation Supervisor

Job Details. The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising all plant sanitation activities to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role oversees the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and facility areas, manages sanitation employees, develops cleaning procedures, and ensures adherence to GMPs, safety requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily sanitation activities for equipment and facility cleaning.
• Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate sanitation team members.
• Develop and maintain sanitation documentation, including: SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) Cleaning logs Master Sanitation Schedules
• Ensure compliance with: Food safety standards GMPs OSHA and safety requirements Federal, state, and local regulations
• Train employees on the safe operation and disassembly of equipment.
• Coordinate with: Quality Assurance Maintenance Production R&D Chemical suppliers
• Drive sanitation improvements, cost reductions, and process efficiencies.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
• HACCP Certification preferred.
• 2+ years in a similar supervisory role.
