  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Accounting, Math, Business or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years related experience including at least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Extensive experience implementing, supporting, optimizing, and upgrading MEDITECH and/or other EMR
  • Experience mentoring less experienced team members
  • Experience being evaluated against and creating action plans based on financial goals and targets to create a profitable service line
  • Complete understanding and in-depth working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA and compliance
  • W2 project-based consultants will be expected to provide a computing device that adheres to industry standards and security best practices to use in satisfying the Project Services on behalf of Tegria.

Job description

As a Supervisor, Revenue Cycle, your work at Tegria will focus on mentoring and provide direct oversight of day-to day supervise activities assigned to the Revenue Cycle Services Team. You work to ensure the team delivers world-class services in revenue cycle assessment, systemic issue identification, system/process solutions, revenue cycle integrity assessment, workflow processes, billing and resolution of outstanding accounts receivable to improve clients’ efficiency and achieve their revenue objectives. You are responsible for monitoring workload. You follow established guidelines, processes, and procedures to achieve team goals. You also deliver customer work yourself and are recognized as highly skilled and proficient in your discipline, conducting complex work. The role you play An effective Supervisor, Revenue Cycle will help the organization on a whole achieve success through: Living our Tegria values: Respect Every Person, Act with Integrity, Strive for Better, Embrace Change, Deliver as a Team Supervise Revenue Cycle Team by delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and evaluating work for timeliness, quality, and compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinate and lead daily team activities to ensure alignment with priorities. Perform the work of revenue cycle analysts as needed to support team efforts. Onboard and train new team members to ensure readiness and consistent performance. Develop and coach team members to strengthen skills, build engagement, and support professional growth. Provide feedback to management on team member performance and participate in evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when needed. Help increase employee engagement by actively listening, mentoring, and fostering a supportive work environment. Oversee customer contracts to ensure timely delivery of Tegria services and accurate status reporting. Monitor key performance indicators in Revenue Cycle and collaborate with management to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and minimize bad debt. Research and identify denial trends, and collaborate with department leadership to resolve root causes and reduce impact on accounts receivable. Maintain strong working knowledge of all Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes. Develop new processes and improve existing ones with a focus on quality, efficiency, and speed. Follow and enforce guidelines, processes, and procedures to meet objectives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Assist with management decisions and contribute to team planning and strategy. Performs other generally related duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for We expect:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Accounting, Math, Business or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years related experience including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835 electronic language.
  • W2 project-based consultants will be expected to provide a computing device that adheres to industry standards and security best practices to use in satisfying the Project Services on behalf of Tegria.
