Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Residential Living Coordinator at Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. This full-time role focuses on dormitory management in compliance with government and organizational directives, with a wage of $45,760 annually.

You will assist with budgeting, supervise procedures to improve student living standards, inspect dorm areas for safety, and report misconduct promptly. Requires a high school diploma and experience with youth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Two (2) years’ experience working with youth, supervisory capacity (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with group life and budget preparation; monitor and control expenditures.
• Establish and supervise procedures to maximize student living standards and coordinate participation.
• Inspect dormitory areas for cleanliness and safety; ensure facility maintenance as needed.
• Ensure misconduct incidents are reported promptly and accurately.

Schedule – Varies, Full Time, 8hr shifts, Monday through Thursday 12:00 PM- 9:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR Sunday through Thursday - 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for a variety of functions related to residential living including dormitory management in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

• - Assist the manager, group life in the preparation of the departmental budget, monitor and control expenditures.
• - Establish implement and supervise control procedures to maximize student living standard, and coordinate student participation.
• - Inspect dormitory areas for cleanliness and unauthorized materials and ensure facility maintenance is done when needed.
• - Ensure incidents of misconduct are reported promptly and accurately.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• - High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary degree preferred.
• - Two (2) years’ experience working with youth, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
• - Able to lift up to 30 pounds and quickly run up and down multiple flights of stairs.
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required.
• - Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
