Job Overview

This role acts as a supervisor and provider of care at the point of care to individuals and cohorts of patients within a unit. Responsibilities include evaluating nursing interventions, coordinating, delegating, supervising care provided by the healthcare team, and serving as a resource for patient care assessment, planning, and evaluation. The supervisor collaborates with unit leadership to identify staff strengths and weaknesses and evaluates staff performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Registered nurse diploma (required); Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience as a registered nurse (required); 2 years preferred. Alternatively, 2 years of experience as an LPN in an acute care setting.
• Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice, BLS from the American Heart Association.
