This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, and assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes. The role requires sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity and involvement in activities aligned with the unit and department’s strategic goals. Demonstrating professional responsibility and accountability for one's own practice while supporting the company's nursing philosophy is essential.
