Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks a day shift, full-time Supervisor in Radiology to lead diagnostic services. The role includes coordinating patient flow, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality radiographs and compliant procedures.

Required is 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience, JRCERT‑accredited training, and ARRT-R/ARDMS-RDMS certifications with BLS/CPR. Preference given to mammography and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • 3 years previous experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist.
  • Completion of Radiologic Technology program or military training (JRCERT‑accredited).
  • ARRT-R or ARDMS-RDMS certification to be held.
  • BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: 3 years mammography experience and 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the routing of patient visits to and from Radiology and oversees scheduling during shift.
  • Supervises department staff, including hiring, evaluating performance and disciplinary sessions.
  • Ensures radiographs quality and proper charging by technologists.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation bodies and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots radiology reports and orders and corrects orders when needed.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor Diagnostic Services performs a variety of technical procedures which include applying ionizing radiation. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

The Supervisor Diagnostic Services responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinates the routing of patient visits to and from the Radiology Department and oversees the scheduling of procedures in areas of responsibility during shift
  • Supervises department staff, including hiring, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed
  • Ensures the quality of the radiographs and that the necessary computer functions are performed by the technologist for each examination to assure proper charging of procedures
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate accreditation bodies and applicable guidelines
  • Troubleshoots and resolves errors in Radiology reports as well as patient exam orders while personally correcting those orders when necessary
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • 3 years previous experience as a registered Radiologist Technologist
Education
  • Completion of Radiologic Technology or military training in Radiologic Technology from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program
License/Certifications
  • ARRT-R (Radiography) OR ARDMS-RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association OR CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
Skills
  • Knowledge and technical skills to use a variety of highly specialized radiographic equipment and related procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • 3 years mammography experience
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
