PURPOSE: We are seeking a Supervisor, Quality Assurance, who wants to join our team as we build a culture of passionate commitment to execution, simplicity, and customer loyalty at Avelo. We are a new high value/low fare airline growing throughout the U.S. As Supervisor, Quality Assurance, you will play a vital role in the safety and airworthiness for our Customers and Crewmembers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Quality Assurance department crewmembers to ensure our highest standards for safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance are always being met for both process management/ improvement and crewmember leadership
- Develop highly competent QA Auditors through initial and ongoing learning and assure that appropriate training is made available to Quality Assurance Crewmembers
- Supervise the Quality Assurance (QA) internal and external maintenance provider audit programs to ensure compliance with CFR and Company manuals
- Ensure potable water events are recorded and tracked per company manuals and entered into the EPA Aircraft Reporting and Compliance System (ARCS) on a timely basis
- Develop, revise, and implement processes and procedures to “Keep It Simple” and efficient for both our crewmembers and customers.
- Manage audit programs for Aircraft Fuel, On-Call Maintenance, Deice, and Station
- Maintain the Monthly Maintenance Provider Listing (MPL) report for the FAA using the Safety Assurance System (SAS) website
- Maintain accurate audit checklists in Computer Based Tracking Systems (CBTS)
- Develop and maintain yearly audit schedules for all internal and external partners
- Review and update quality program content in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Review C.A.S.E. database transmittals for changes to company approved partners
- Conduct special audits as required by Tech Ops Management or FAA
- Act as SME for QA and manage VDRP corrective actions
- Participate in DOD and IOSA audits, and perform duties as a company auditor
- Manage EPA Potable Water program, ensuring fleet compliance and documenting failures or violations
- Oversee potable water disinfection and sampling, adhering to manuals
- Revise GMM potable water processes as needed and monitor CFR updates
- Present monthly CASS reports, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Manage VDRP corrective action timelines and special audits for Tech Ops
- Document, investigate, and communicate findings to the auditee
- Monitor safety, delay, and cancellation reports for quality issues
- Perform Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurrence
- Liaise with FAA Safety Inspectors openly and honestly
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) program
