Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager.
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback in daily start-up meetings.
• Monitor daily production requirements to meet customer and plant objectives while following HSE and 5S standards.
• Train and monitor employee performance and keep operator training matrix updated.
• Compile KPI data and distribute end-of-shift reports to management and relevant teams.
• Ensure compliance with UAW contracts, team member handbook, safety guidelines, and all related procedures.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Participate in Team Leader meetings and quality initiatives.
• Identify CI opportunities by reviewing processes and people daily.

Job description

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
• Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring HSE and 5S policies and standards are followed.
• Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
• Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
• Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
• Ensure compliance of the UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
• Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
• Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
• Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.
• Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements.
• Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements.

  Required Qualifications

  3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production.

  1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.

• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

• Computer literacy.

• Excellent oral communication skills.
