Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems I LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor in Chattanooga to direct all activities in the assigned production area, ensuring on-time delivery of quality products and daily supervision of staff. The role requires 5–9 years in production, 3–5 years in the automotive industry, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise production activities to meet on-time delivery and quality goals.
• Schedule and coordinate personnel with Production Manager (vacations, overtime, temporary staff).
• Communicate production expectations and quality feedback in daily start-up meetings.
• Monitor daily production targets and ensure EHS and 5S standards are followed.
• Train and assess operator performance; maintain training matrices.
• Compile KPI data and distribute end-of-shift reports.
• Ensure training and rotations are implemented.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and enforce them across the team.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area of the production departments. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handling the daily supervision of the departmental personnel.

Supervisory Capacity:

Direct Reports: 20+

• Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager/Leader Production (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
• Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
• Monitor daily established production requirements throughout the shift to ensure customer requirements and plant objectives are met while ensuring EHS and 5S policies and standards are followed.
• Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
• Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
• Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of company handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members.
• Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
• Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
• Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.

Required Education Level:

High School Graduate or Equivalent
Area of Study: General Studies

Required Qualifications:

• 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience in production.
• 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
• Just in Time (JIT) & Just in Sequence (JIS) environment experience, preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Computer literacy.
