The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating shift personnel to ensure the production of company products in a safe, quality, timely, and cost-effective manner. This role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining manufacturing standards, and ensuring effective communication and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reinforce and practice Hutchinson's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, operational processes, and procedures.
2. Direct and coordinate shift personnel to produce company products in a quality, timely, and safe manner.
3. Maintain and achieve manufacturing standards, quality controls, and operating procedures.
4. Address any scrap over 5 with the operator. Escalate to the APU Manager if more than 10 pieces are scrapped or if the machine is down for more than 30 minutes.
5. Report and assist in resolving all manufacturing issues, including facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel problems.
6. Ensure effective communication, including shift carryovers.
7. Train all employees reporting to the shift to established manufacturing and quality standards in a cost-efficient manner, documenting this training according to Hutchinson's procedures.
8. Reconcile and approve hourly employee timecards in ADP.
9. Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
10. Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
12. Ensure employees on the shift are scanning products correctly to avoid inventory variances and component shortages.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, quality controls, and operating procedures.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
4. Ability to train and document training effectively.
5. Proficiency in time card reconciliation. ADP Time and Attendance experience preferred.

Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
