Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities of a production team across multiple production lines and shifts in a manufacturing/packaging environment to ensure efficient manufacturing/packaging of products.

The role emphasizes supervising employees, enforcing SOPs, maintaining quality, coordinating training, and driving process improvements with a focus on performance metrics and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in the field with supervisory experience.
• A four-year degree is preferred; candidates with multiple years in supervisory roles will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervises manufacturing and/or packaging employees across multiple production lines and shifts; assigns tasks, adjusts workloads, schedules and monitors training, monitors production quality, troubleshoots and resolves problems.
• Ensures operations comply with current Good Manufacturing Procedures; reviews SOP changes and ensures training/enforcement to follow SOPs.
• Gathers/evaluates information and makes recommendations; participates in capacity or budget planning.
• Manages and records performance metrics; prepares statistical/management reports and completes documentation.
• May test/evaluate process changes and collaborate with engineering on equipment decisions.

Description Overview

The Production Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of a production team, working on multiple production lines and across shifts in a manufacturing/packaging environment to ensure efficient manufacturing/packaging of products.

Scope of the Role

• Supervises manufacturing and/or packaging employees across multiple production lines and shifts; assigns tasks, adjusts workloads, schedules and monitors training, monitors production quality, troubleshoots and resolves problems.


• Ensures operations comply with current Good Manufacturing Procedures; reviews Standard Operating Procedure changes and monitors training/enforcement to ensure SOPs are followed.


• Shares specialized experience/expertise with management in development and implementation of ongoing processes or special projects.


• May test/evaluate process changes and recommend implementation or rejection; supervise maintenance/installation projects; work with engineering to select/evaluate new equipment (capital and ancillary).


• May participate in capacity or budget planning; gathers/evaluates information and makes/presents recommendations.


• Manages and records performance metrics; prepares statistical/management reports and completes necessary documentation.

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years in the field with supervisory experience.


• Four-year degree preferred; multiple years in a supervisory position will be considered.
