Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of personnel on their shift.

Responsibilities

1. Leading the day-to-day operations of the cutting, finishing, and forming departments.
2. Managing the department for safe and efficient operation.
3. Assessing performance and training of operating personnel and identifying areas for improvement.
4. Providing training, development, and feedback to personnel.
5. Analyzing department performance data to identify ongoing improvement opportunities.
6. Enforcing safe work practices and leading daily safety discussions.
7. Providing quality direction to personnel.
8. Leading monthly department meetings covering quality, productivity, process improvements, and safety.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills and ability to develop and influence personnel.
• Strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge.
• Ability to work specified shift times, including some weekends.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
